luke-hutsell 150 120We held our first networking social at Maggiano's-Little Italy.  It was quite a success – and the experience has given the Chapter some ideas for improvements with upcoming evening socials.

Our speakers were representatives for St. Louis Special Olympics and local law enforcement.  The speakers did a nice job of describing the Law Enforcement Torch Run and how the two entities tie together, at the same time encourage ASIS involvement in the cause.

luke-hutsell 150_120We held our February luncheon meeting at Maggiano's-Little Italy.  Our speaker was Chief Plummer from the Kirkwood Police Department.  The Chief enlightened the group on the City Council shooting that occurred four years earlier – and shared some shocking details that were mostly unknown.  He also provided some lessons that were learned from the incident so this type of situation would never reoccur.

Steve Wilk announced the 3rd annual trivia night scheduled for March 31, 2012, registration forms are on the website.  This should be an exciting and fun event!  Joe Eagan will be our emcee once again – this is a great treat!

luke-hutsell 150 120First of all, I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. The January 12, 2012, breakfast meeting at Maggiano's-Little Italy was quite an event – it just so happens that our event coincided with the absolute worst commuting day that St. Louis has seen in a long time – and, even with that we had almost 50% of our reserved guest make it! That is quite and accomplishment, THANK YOU!

Our speaker was Lt. Mike Thompson from the Chesterfield Police Department. He provided valuable information on the Missouri Information Analysis Center – Missouri Organized Retail Crime Association Project (MIAC-MORCA Project).

Additionally, On January 11, 2012 the St. Louis Chapters Treasurers books from January 2011 to December 2011 were reviewed by chapter members Bill Dougherty CPA, Michael Flachs CPP, Ed Heisler CPP PSP - 2011 Treasurer, Lee Sanguinette CPP - RVP  (Region 5), and Luke Hutsell CPP Chapter Chairman and Pat Hill PSP Chapter Treasurer. I am glad to announce the team noted no errors.

steve wilk_150_120Again, thank you for a great attendance at the 22nd Annual Law Enforcement and Private Security luncheon held on October 13th at the St. Louis Science Center.  It was nice to over 300 participants from various Federal agencies, local law enforcement agencies, and private security companies.

The chapter held its first “card tournament” on November 5th. Although the participation numbers were not high those who participated had a lot of fun. As a reminder, we have the Holiday Social (December 2nd ) with the special pricing for the first 100 reservations so please make your reservations quickly as this event is expected to sell out quickly.
