This blog will be used by the chapter to update you on information related to the chapter, St. Louis are events, the Chairmans Corner, and any other security related news. As a member you can create a blog entry as well to help keep the members up to date.
Again, thank you for a great attendance at the 22nd Annual Law Enforcement and Private Security luncheon held on October 13th at the St. Louis Science Center. It was nice to over 300 participants from various Federal agencies, local law enforcement agencies, and private security companies.
The chapter held its first “card tournament” on November 5th. Although the participation numbers were not high those who participated had a lot of fun. As a reminder, we have the Holiday Social (December 2nd ) with the special pricing for the first 100 reservations so please make your reservations quickly as this event is expected to sell out quickly.
The election of the 2012 Chapter Officers was held the last week of October on-line. I am pleased to announce the follow have been elected to volunteer chapter leadership for 2012:
• Chapter Chairman - Luke Hutsell, CPP
• Chapter Vice-Chairman – Ed Heisler, CPP, PSP
• Chapter Treasurer – Patrick Hill, PSP
• Chapter Secretary – Matthew Trader, CPP
Congratulations to all of them and they will all be sworn in to office at the Holiday Social on December 2nd.
Our November guest speaker was David “Duff” Barney of the St. Louis County Emergency Communications Network. In this session, Mr. Barney discussed the new Emergency Communications upgrades that St. Louis County recently implemented (E-911 and Early Warning sirens.).
As a reminder, all meetings with guest presenters will be a minimum of
50 minutes in length to qualify for re-certification CEUs so please plan your time and attendance accordingly.
