Hey everyone I just wanted to let you know that you now have the ability to post your own blog on the Chapter's website. This will be great tool if you have an interesting article or news story to share and plus it will help me keep current topics posted on the website. Just remember to give credit to the source if it is being copied from another website. We definitely dont need the copyright police lurking around :) If you have never written a blog before you can follow the step-by-step instructions below.

You can enlarge any of the pictures simply by clicking on them.

To begin creating your blog click on the WRITE button which is located at the top righ corner of the blog page.

This will bring you to the new post page. Here is where you will create your blog! Start by choosing a category for your blog.

Next enter a tilte for this blog article.

Next write your article in the big text block below. After the first paragraph or two insert a readmore hyperlink. You can do this by clicking at the end of your paragraph and then clicking the readmore button located at the bottom of the text box.

You can choose to give your article tags if you wish. You can double click within the text box to bring up default tags or you can start typing your own and seperate them with commas. They will be stored in the database for later use.

The next section is Publishing Options. You can leave everything defaulted if you wish or you can select the options you don' want enabled.

The next section is for the Search Engines. If you want someone to find your article ensure to fill this out. I tyoically copy the first paragraph and paste that into the description. For the keywords, just choose some words from your article and seperate them by commas.

For Robots input INDEX, FOLLOW. This tells the search engine robots to index the article in their database.

The last part is called TrackBacking. You can skip this unless you want to be notified via email if someone shares your article. Email me if you are interested in what to put in their.

Other than that you can click the preview button to have a new window open and show you your post. After that click on Publish and your done.

If you make a mistake or would like to add or change something within the article you can always go back and edit the entry. Just click on the title of the blog and choose edit from the top left of the page. Then click Update when you are done.
